Apps that use satellite imagery

Several activities we do are only possible thanks to satellites in orbit, such as cell phones and televisions, as well as some applications.

Many companies have created applications using information gathered by their own satellites in Earth's orbit.

One of these companies is the big Google, which brings its well-known applications: Google Maps and Google Earth.

Today, we'll introduce these two apps and discuss their advantages and features in more detail. Check it out below.

Google Maps

The Google Maps application, which is a well-known GPS navigation application, is very useful for helping users with traffic, especially for those who live in large cities.

By synchronizing its data with Google's search engine, the app also provides information about restaurants, museums, hotels, and various other establishments, including reviews from other users.

Another feature that the application presents is that the user can save routes and maps, which can make their daily lives much easier.

In the route options, the user can also choose the type of transport , which changes the route and the time to the final destination. The choices are: car, public transport, bicycle, or walking.

The Google Maps app is available for download on Android and iOS systems.

Google Earth

The Google Earth application, another worldwide favorite among users in application stores, presents a different and even more advanced technology than the previous one, presenting images in 3D format.

With its feature called Street View , Google Earth offers users the possibility of taking a virtual tour of the streets around the world, visiting all the places.

In addition to a great technological revolution, this resource can be very useful when traveling, to get to know the place well and not get lost, and also in several other situations, even in official investigations.

As another feature, the Google Earth app gives users the option to share their location with people they trust, which is very useful in emergency or dangerous situations, especially if they are traveling.

The Google Earth app can be downloaded for Android and iOS operating systems.

It's worth remembering that both of Google's major apps are completely free , which greatly improves the user experience and significantly contributes to their popularity.
