What is the Detran Auction like?

The Detran Auction operates like any other regulated auction.

The Detran of each state provides a list of motorcycles to be auctioned, with the lots and details of documentation and possible damage.

The motorcycles sold at auction are vehicles that have delayed licensing or were caught in a traffic stop and then seized due to some irregularity, such as debts not settled within 60 days.

How is payment made for the Detran Auction?

The auction categories, online or in person, work like a conventional auction, with the highest bidder winning.

Vehicles or lots of vehicles are offered for cash payment.

In face-to-face mode, the bidder must leave a check with the auction committee in the amount of the auctioned vehicle.

In the online modality, at the time of registration, the participant signs a contract and is subject to the penalties established in Law No. 8666/92.

After the participant bids, the Commission issues a bank slip with the total sale value, which will be delivered to the bidder. This will have a period of 5 (five) business days to make full payment for the purchase.

A provisional receipt valid until the date of issuance of the Bill of Sale is provided by the auctioneer.
