A child, only 5 years old, was diagnosed with cancer that went from “his nose to his knees”. This child's case surpassed all the hopes of the medical team that treated him, and is being considered a miracle because he has matured.

Freddy Wetherley had a very rare type of cancer in August 2018, known as neuroblastoma. The parents said that the heir was constantly in good health, however, he began to complain of a pain in his leg, but they could not imagine that it would be such a dramatic thing.

In a statement given to the English newspaper Daily Mail, his mother, Alice Philips, said that he began to complain of pain in the abdominal region. When teasing him at the hospital, it was discovered that he had a rather large lobe in his bellows.

Freddy lives in Essex, England, along with his mother, his sister, Ricky Wetherley, and his 2-year-old sister, Freya. The heir's care was redirected to Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London.

After finding neuroblastoma and tumors throughout his body, the heir began to undergo treatment immediately. Alice said he took chemotherapy for 70 days, and around Christmas he had a bone marrow transplant. In February another intervention resulted in the removal of tumors.

The mother ends her statement by saying that he has been in remission since May this year and that, in the second week of September, he will start school. “We can't judge that he's doing so well, at the moment we saw the first cancer tests it seemed like there was no hope. He is indeed our irrelevant miracle”, concluded Freddy’s mother.
